Artist Statement:

My work examines the nature of signs and symbols.  Each piece hinges on ordinary objects removed from their original context and placed in  sacred containers or specimen cases. Transformed and disassociated, the object becomes both meaningful and meaningless – a metaphor for the subjective and flawed nature of human understanding.
